The Commercial / Contracts Manager will be responsible to the Head of Contracts and Commercial, for negotiating new contracts, together with the management of existing ones. The purpose of this role is to support the external and internal sales teams by reviewing and negotiating the contractual aspects of both new bids and existing business. In addition, the Commercial Manager will provide advice on a wide range of commercial matters to support other parts of the business as required.

Type - 12 Month FTC (fixed term contract)

Location - Buckinghamshire (hybrid working, 3 days onsite per week)

Salary - -65,00085,000 (DOE) + benefits

Key responsibilities for Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager and will not be limited to:

  • The prime responsibility of the role will be to manage a number of commercial and contracting activities throughout the project lifecycle, in support of the bidding, business development, sales, project management and procurement processes
  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating different forms of legal agreements associated with an international commercial and defence aerospace & communications business including sales and procurement contracts, framework agreements, long term government strategic procurement contracts, non-disclosure agreements, intermediary agreements, teaming/ MoUs and other ancillary agreements as required by the business.
  • Completion of internal documentation to support the internal approval of Bids. Sales Contracts and other business agreements.
  • Working closely with other business functions within the company such as Business Development, Inside Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Export Control to gain agreement regarding relevant customer contract requirements.
  • Managing issues relating to ongoing contracts in order to support other business functions

Key skills and experience required for Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager job applicant and will not be limited to:

  • Proven experience within a Commercial Management role, defence is preferred
  • Experience in managing commercial risk, ideally working in a Commercial Management role
  • Knowledge of the contract development process, contract terms and conditions is a prerequisite for this role
  • Eligibility to gain UK Security (SC) clearance
