Position Overview : The Commercial Lines Department Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Lines team, ensuring outstanding client service, workflow efficiency, staff development, and adherence to industry best practices. This is a strategic leadership role for someone passionate about team building, operational excellence, and client satisfaction.Work Arrangement
This is a full-time hybrid position that reports to our office in Enfield, CT or Kingston, NY. Travel to other nearby offices may also be required.Professional Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support the Commercial Lines Account ManagersHandling and managing a small book of Commercial Lines InsuranceOversee daily operations, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and policy accuracyDevelop and implement department goals, procedures, and performance metricsConduct regular audits of accounts for quality control and complianceServe as an escalation point for complex client issues or carrier negotiationsStay current on industry trends, carrier appetites, products, and regulationsFoster a positive, collaborative team environment and manage performance evaluationsCollaborate with leadership on growth strategies, staffing, and technology improvementsAssist in onboarding and training new team membersQualifications and Requirements
10+ years of experience working in Commercial Lines insurance including experience in New York and ConnecticutBachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or related fieldActive Property and Casualty LicenseStrong knowledge of commercial insurance products, markets, and carriersInsurance designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM, or CRM, preferredProven leadership, organizational, and communication skillsExperience with agency management system, Applied Epic preferredExperience managing remote or hybrid teamsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAnalytical mindset and attention to detailWhy Patriot Growth Insurance Services
