Insurance Broker

OA are recruiting for an Insurance Broker to join our client’s growing team.

This role involves managing an existing portfolio of construction clients while developing and converting new business opportunities.

Location: Barnet
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Office based.

Salary:

• Entry / Developing Broker (limited experience):
  £25,000–£30,000 basic | £28,000–£35,000 OTE
• Experienced Broker (2+ years):
  Circa £35,000 basic | £40,000+ OTE
• Senior Broker (3+ years):
  Circa £40,000 basic | £45,000–£50,000 OTE

(Salary dependent on experience, skills, and contribution)

Insurance Broker Key Responsibilities

• Manage and service a portfolio of construction clients
• Prepare and present renewals and new business quotations
• Handle mid-term adjustments (MTAs) and policy changes
• Respond to client enquiries and provide expert advice
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Convert inbound enquiries into new business
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
• Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms
• Process policies, renewals, and MTAs using Acturis
• Collaborate with the internal team to ensure efficient service delivery

Insurance Broker Skills & Experience

• 2+ years’ insurance broking experience (for experienced level roles)
• Construction sector exposure preferred but not essential
• Acturis experience desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to manage renewals and win new business
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Commercially focused with a drive for retention and growth
