Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Gas Supervisor to join a long-term, secure facilities operation within a highly regulated environment. This role would suit a skilled commercial gas professional who is looking to take the next step into a supervisory and compliance-focused position.
The successful Commercial Gas Supervisor will oversee gas-related maintenance activities, support engineering teams, and ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current legislation and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day gas maintenance operations across a large static site.
• Take ownership of compliance relating to commercial gas systems and associated services.
• Support and coordinate engineering personnel to ensure planned and reactive tasks are completed effectively.
• Carry out routine checks, inspections, and audits to maintain high safety and operational standards.
• Ensure all certification, service documentation, and maintenance records are accurately maintained.
• Work closely with internal departments and specialist contractors to support site operations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and apprentices where required.
• Review potential risks within gas-related works and implement appropriate control measures.

About You To be considered for this Commercial Gas Supervisor role, candidates should demonstrate:

• Strong background working within commercial gas maintenance and servicing environments.
• Solid understanding of current gas legislation, safe systems of work, and compliance procedures.
• Previous experience leading, supporting, or coordinating engineering teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail with a proactive approach to health and safety.
• Eligibility to successfully pass security vetting prior to starting employment.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

• Commercial Gas qualifications relevant to commercial plant and systems.
• Current Gas Safe accreditation.
• Experience working within secure, critical, or highly controlled facilities.
• Supervisory or leadership training/certification would be advantageous.
