ROLE:-Commercial Gas Engineer
SALARY:25.50 p/h (some flexibility dependant on experience)
LOCATION:-Greater London (inside M25)
THE COMPANY:
This role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing, repairs, and occasional installations of commercial gas systems across a diverse client base including government buildings, hotels, schools, courts, and office facilities.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction, while managing a range of commercial gas appliances. While the role primarily covers London and the South, national coverage may be required for sickness or holiday cover. This is a mobile role with a current on-call rota of 1 in 9 (national).

THE CANDIDATE:
- ACS Commercial Gas Certifications (e.g. CODNCO1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, BMP1).
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with commercial gas systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills; BMS/controls knowledge is advantageous.
- Valid full UK driving licence.
- Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations.
- Professional communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organised and able to manage workload across multiple sites.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Conduct planned PPM, servicing, and repairs on commercial gas appliances in accordance with current regulations (SFG20).
- Perform fault-finding and diagnostics across a variety of commercial gas systems.
- Undertake occasional installation work, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Provide first-response support during working hours and on-call periods for emergency repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure documentation is compliant and audit-ready.
- Follow strict health and safety procedures, including appropriate use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team and escalate complex issues where necessary.
- Advise clients on best practices for appliance use and safety.
