CR Smith is seeking a new Commercial Finance Manager to support our focus on profitable growth across our key sectors (retail, social housing, new build and builders merchants) and ensure Business Partnering continues to be underpinned by sound financial decision making. The role represents a first-class opportunity for an ambitious, motivated and professional candidate to join a team of like-minded colleagues, most of whom have been promoted through the ranks.CR Smith is Scotland’s leading uPVC window manufacturer and home improvement installer and has become one of Scotland’s largest and most well-renowned companies. It now has 380 staff across a number of facilities and has developed its own apprenticeship scheme, reflecting its investment in the community and broader charitable causes. Across its Manufacturing and Glaziers businesses there is a current turnover of c£40m.Responsibilities
Provide commercial financial insight to support business decisions and profitability across key sectors (retail, social housing, new build and builders merchants).Ensure Business Partnering is underpinned by sound financial decision making.Contribute to achievable business planning and provide independent thinking while working as part of a close, professional team.Mentor colleagues, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and support a collaborative, high-performing environment.Identify commercial opportunities and risks, and communicate results to senior leadership.Qualifications
A qualified accountant, used to working in a highly commercial environment.Passionate about growth and making profit.Able to contribute to achievable business planning.Independent in thought and a team player.Commercially astute, understanding risks and rewards.Mentor to colleagues, with good emotional intelligence.Curious, innovative and creative.How to apply
