Commercial Co-Ordinator - Seafreight / Airfreight

We are recruiting for the followng exciting new role in Birmingham

Our client is an international Freight & Logistics company. -As part of the continued growth of the branch they are now seeking an experienced commercial / pricing-specialist to support the ocean freight & air freight department

The role in its simplest terms is to respond to incoming requests for costings for international freight movements. To negotiate and prepare the costings and sell figures for the movement of goods internationally via deep sea freight / air freight for clients.

Duties:

• Negotiate freight buy rates with shipping lines, consolidators and 3rd party suppliers
• Preparation and presentation of rates to clients
• Collaboration with operations team to ensure rate & pricing visibility
• Continued rate & pricing appraisal to ensure competive edge and profitiability

This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced seafreight or freight forwarding professional to join a well respected freight organisation ewhere all of your existing skills and experience will be used to good effect

A fantastic salary of up to -34k pa doe is available to the right applicant
