Command and Control Sub-System Engineering Lead - 3613-1Initial 6-month contractBristol 3-4 days onsite per week (compressed hours available) 70ph, Umbrella, inside IR35Please note, this role requires SC clearance and will be working on UK Eyes Only programmes, therefore this role is only open to sole British nationals with no dual nationality due to the nature of work. Overview of department:This role is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting project, maturing the design of a key subsystem on a high-profile project aiming to deliver the Royal Navy''s first operational Laser Directed Energy Weapon (LDEW) capability in rapid timescales.The role has good visibility and engagement across a range of MBDA weapon system design areas, primarily System Design, Software and Algorithms areas.Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day management, direction and technical leadership (including activity tracking and project reporting) of the multi-functional Common Architecture Team (CAT).Lead the capture, derivation, and refinement of subsystem requirements for the Command and Control subsystem.Work collaboratively with the CAT to deliver the Command and Control sub-system functional architecture.Identify and capture functional risks, opportunities, issues and assumptions and their associated mitigation strategies.Skillset/experience required:Product development / systems thinking mindset.Excellent stakeholder management skills.Experience across the systems engineering / product ..... full job details .....
