We are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer of industrial steam boilers and combustion equipment who are expanding their UK Service Team. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a skilled engineer to cover the Milton Keynes & surrounding area.
This is a varied field-based role where no two days are the same. You''ll be working with a wide range of industrial boiler and combustion systems, providing first-class service and support to customers across your region.
The Role
As a Combustion Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial steam and hot water boilers
- Commissioning new equipment
- Fault finding on gas and non-gas systems
- Gas maintenance and gas safety inspections
- Boiler upgrades and modifications
- Carrying out site surveys
- Completing risk assessments
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Supporting customers with technical advice when required
What We''re Looking For
Ideally you''ll have experience working on industrial steam or hot water boilers and have a solid understanding of combustion systems and industrial multi-fuel burners. However, additional manufacturer training will be provided for the right engineer.
Essential Qualifications
- COCN1 - Core Commercial Gas Safety (or CODNC01)
- ICPN1 - First Fix Installation of Commercial Pipework
- CIGA1 - Indirect Fired Appliances
- TPCP1 - Testing & Purging >1m-
- BMP1 - Gas Boosters (up to 0.5 bar)
- CoNGLP1 PD - Natural Gas to LPG Changeover
The Person
You''ll be someone who:
- Has a strong multi-disciplined service background
- Can work independently and manage your own workload
- Enjoys fault finding and solving technical problems
- Delivers excellent customer service
- Works well under pressure while remaining a team player
- Holds a full UK driving licence
