Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist | East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust

OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and dynamic senior nurse to join the Specialist Colorectal Nurse Team at Colchester General Hospital. We are looking for an experienced nurse who has extensive knowledge and experience in colorectal/cancer nursing. The right person must have a passion and drive to provide high quality patient-centred care. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist - colorectal care, you will be supporting patients from diagnosis through treatment who have been diagnosed with bowel cancer.
You will need to be flexible in changing your working days every 3–6 months to ensure all areas of the role are completed. We would consider a Band 6-7 developmental role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Deliver a high-quality specialist nursing service to patients and staff by promoting excellence in practice through teamwork and evidence-based care and practice.
Look after colorectal cancer patients and provide care across the patient journey from diagnosis through treatment.
Work closely with a variety of health care professionals and the management team; contribute to developing the colorectal service.
Manage complex care pathways across multiple agencies and services to ensure the highest quality of care and service delivery for all patients.
Be a proactive, self-motivated, dedicated team member who can also work autonomously.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload and problem-solve effectively.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experienced colorectal nurse with extensive knowledge in colorectal/cancer nursing.
Passion and drive to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.
Ability to adapt to changing work days every 3–6 months and operate across care settings.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team or autonomously.
Flexibility for a Band 6-7 developmental role for the right candidate.
