The post 16 settings offer a range of vocational and further educational curriculums to all attending students, with internal plans and provisions in place to help support those learners requiring additional support.As a learning support worker, you must be confident in supporting across a range of classes around the setting, helping children access their education, and helping them achieve academic and independent growth.Throughout the role, learning support workers will need to be able to manage behaviour across the classroom, and on a 1:1 basis, helping manage disruptiveness within the lesson, keep learners focused and engaged, and de-escalate at risk or crisis behaviour.The Applicant: Comfortable working across a range of different learners, varying in academic and behaviour abilities.Happy to support on a 1:1 basis, to provide extra academic support, or for behaviour management.Confident in behaviour management, with ...
