Collections CoordinatorLocation: DudleySalary: £30,116 per annumHours: 37.5 hours per week, between 8.00am 6.00pm Contract: Permanent, full-timeOur client is seeking an experienced Collections Coordinator to join their busy Collections team. In this hands-on role, you ll help care for and bring the collection to life by cataloguing objects, supporting exhibitions, and uncovering new stories along the way. Working with colleagues, volunteers and partners, you ll play a key part in keeping the collections organised, accessible and engaging for all.What will you be doing? Managing collections through cataloguing, auditing, and tracking movement.Developing object handling/storage practices and the Museum''s collecting policy.Researching, acquiring, and installing items/collections in existing and new buildings.Contributing to the development of the Museum s collections review project.Supporting disposals, returns, deliveries (including exhibition deliveries and installation), and loans.Conducting research for collection development, programmes, and engagement.Supervising volunteers, interns, placement students, and Collections Assistants. Overseeing research visitors/groups, collecting data relating to objects and users, and addressing enquiries respectfully.Assisting with the development and review of emergency planning procedures.
