Cold store supervisor

A leading food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced External Cold Store Supervisor to oversee stock management, storage operations and despatch activities across a third-party cold storage facility. This is a key position within the supply chain operation, responsible for ensuring accurate stock control, product traceability, operational efficiency and strong communication between warehouse, planning and production functions. The Role Reporting into the Despatch Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of stock held within an external cold store facility, ensuring products are received, stored and despatched safely, accurately and in line with customer and business requirements. Working closely with operational teams and external logistics partners, you will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting customer service levels and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily intake, storage, stock movement and despatch activities. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure full product traceability. Manage stock rotation and optimise storage utilisation. Conduct stock audits and investigate discrepancies. Ensure all despatch paperwork and documentation is completed accurately. Act as the main operational link between the manufacturing site and external storage provider. Escalate stock, service or operational issues promptly.
