Coded Welder

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, contributing to the production of high-quality products. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques, particularly MIG welding, to develop their skills within a professional environment. Responsibilities Carry out coded welding on structural steel and fabricated assemblies in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Perform MIG / MAG coded welding (FM1 + FM2) using approved gases (M24) on EN 10025 / EN 1090 CE marked materials Weld material thicknesses ranging from 1mm up to 50mm in all qualified welding positions including PA, PB, PC, PD, PE, PF (OVERHEAD / UPHILL) Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and blueprint drawings accurately Set up welding equipment correctly, selecting appropriate consumables and parameters to match WPS requirements Complete pre-weld checks and post-weld visual inspections to required acceptance criteria Work alongside welding inspectors and NDT inspectors, supporting MPI / UT / RT activities as required Rectify weld defects and carry out approved repairs in line with WPS and quality procedures Maintain accurate weld traceability, records, and quality documentation in line ..... full job details .....
