Position: Coded TIG Welder - AluminiumShift Pattern: Double DaysLocation: WolverhamptonDuration: 2 Months, Long-term options for the right candidateStart Date: June 2026Pay Rate: 38.27 per hour, 39 hours per week - 56k Salary equivalent Premium Overtime for Saturday and SundaysPay Method: Umbrella PAYEIndustry: Automotive (FMCG/Warehouse/Pharmaceutical experience also considered)You''ll support the fabrication and assembly of Battery Packs, Electric Drive Units and other electrification technologies, working with lightweight aluminium components in a high-volume production environment.Key Responsibilities Carry out high-quality TIG welding on aluminium components to engineering drawings and specifications. Ensure weld integrity, consistency, and compliance with quality standards. Prepare materials including cleaning, cutting, and fitting prior to welding. Conduct visual inspections and support NDT or quality checks where required. Rectify weld defects and implement corrective actions. Support production targets while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. Assist with weekend/shutdown work and continuous improvement activities.Skills and Experience Proven experience as a TIG Welder, with a strong focus on aluminium. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols. Experience working in a manufacturing or high-volume production environment.
