Co-opted Trustee - Development
This new Co-opted Trustee- Development voluntary role will work closely with the Chief Executive and Head of Development supporting our work to secure donations from charitable trusts, foundations, businesses and government supporters. Role Duties Act as an ambassador and adviser to the Trust Board and senior leaderships to strengthen its approach to fundraising and income generation Help us create and then chair a group of volunteer advocates Agree a list of prospective trust, government, corporate and / or individual supporters To speak at cultivation and stewardship events Wider Trustee Duties To ensure that the Charity complies with its governing documents To contribute to setting the strategic direction and policy of the Charity Protect and manage the charitable assets To ensure the Charity manages its resources effectively Appointment Term and Time Commitment The term of the appointment is 3 years, subject to annual renewal confirmed by mutual agreement, with a maximum term of 9 years The successful candidate should expect to donate 5 hours per month of time. Ongoing commitment includes: attendance at board meetings (evenings up to 5 times per year) Chair 2 meetings of our Development Advocates To Apply Candidates are invited to appy by submitting a CV and cover letter of no more than 5 sides.
