The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional centre lathes to manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and specifications. Manufacture components from engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Select appropriate tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds for various materials. Carry out turning, facing, boring, threading, and other machining operations. Measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, and gauges. Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is kept in good working condition. Identify and report machine faults or production issues. Skills and Experience ... Permanent
