CNC Turning Setter/Operator – Day shift

Location: Ely (CB7)Job Type: PermanentHours: 37.5 hours, 7:30am - 5:15pm Monday to Wednesday with a 4:45pm finish on Thursday (Day shift) Salary: -15 - -16ph depending on experienceJob Reference: 36241We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join the day shift team for our Ely based client. Responsibilities:- Load, set up, and operate CNC machines in accordance with production requirements- Previous experience operating a Doosan Lynx CNC machine is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided- Manufacture first-off components for inspection and approval before commencing full production- Maintain responsibility for quality control by recording and verifying components against engineering drawing specifications- Monitor machine performance throughout production to maximise efficiency and output- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities across manufacturing processes- Read, interpret, and work accurately from engineering drawings and technical documentation- Carry out routine maintenance and basic servicing of equipment and machinery within your area of responsibility, in line with your skills and trainingRequirements:- Experience operating Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems- Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve machining or production issues efficientlyPlease contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below!
