Mill/Turn Programmer / Setter OperatorHalifax Full-Time PermanentA well-established precision engineering company based in Halifax is currently seeking an experienced Mill/Turn Programmer / Setter Operator to join its production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist to work within a high-precision manufacturing environment producing quality components for a varied customer base.The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating mill/turn machinery, working from engineering drawings to manufacture components to strict quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesThe role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC mill/turn machines while producing components from customer drawings and specifications. The successful candidate will manufacture both small batch and one-off components, machine large components within tight tolerances, and work with Fanuc, Mazak, or Siemens controls. Maintaining high standards of workshop housekeeping, complying with all HSQE procedures and company policies, and attending training courses where required will also form part of the role.Candidate RequirementsApplicants should ideally be apprentice-trained machinists with a strong CNC turning background and live tooling experience. Previous experience using Fanuc, Mazak, or Siemens controls is required, along with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
