CNC Turner

We''re recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a busy production team. This role involves setting, operating, and programming CNC lathes (Fanuc controls), ensuring parts are produced to high quality standards and delivered on time.Key ResponsibilitiesSet and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controlsRead and understand CNC programmes, making edits where requiredSet up new jobs using setup sheets and tooling listsPreset tooling and load programmes correctlyCreate or edit programmes (on-machine or offline using CAM software)Inspect parts to ensure they meet drawings and customer specificationsComplete all required production paperwork accuratelyEnsure correct drawings, programmes, and quantities are usedReport any quality issues and follow non-conformance proceduresWork closely with the team to maintain production flow and outputRun multiple machines where possible to maximise efficiencyKeep work area clean and organisedSupport shift handovers with clear updatesUse the MRP system to track work in progressFlag any issues with tooling, machines, or job timings to supervisorsExperience RequiredExperience operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controlsAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsExperience setting tools and working from setup sheetsFamiliar with measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, verniers)Background in precision engineering or manufacturingExperience working in a team-based production environmentDesirableApprenticeship or formal training in ..... full job details .....
