CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator - Lathes and Machining CentresWe''re looking for an experienced CNC Programmer Setter Operator to join a specialist precision engineering business. Our client is a well-established engineering manufacturer producing high-quality, precision components for a range of demanding industries.The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes and/or machining centres, working to tight tolerances and ensuring components are manufactured to the required standards.What''s on offerSalary: 38,000 - 42,000 DOEHours: Monday to Thursday (7:00 - 16:00) and Friday (7:00 - 12:00)Key responsibilitiesProgram, set and operate Mazak CNC driven-tool lathes, machining centres, or both.Read and interpret detailed customer engineering drawings and specifications.Determine the most effective machining methods and processes for each component.Write and edit Mazak and ISO CNC programmes.Select appropriate tooling, cutting inserts and machining conditions.Carry out first-off inspections to ensure components meet the required specification before production runs.Create, store and maintain CNC programmes.Review works orders and work instructions to ensure machining requirements are fully understood.Monitor production quality and ensure components consistently meet required standards.Work to agreed production and run times while maintaining high levels of quality.Work closely with colleagues to identify opportunities to ..... full job details .....
