The Role

As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming (offline using CAD/CAM), setting, and operating CNC turning machinery to produce high-quality precision components. You''ll play a key role in ensuring products meet customer specifications while maintaining quality standards and achieving production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Program CNC turning machines offline using CAD/CAM software.

• Set and operate CNC turning machinery.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Produce components to the highest quality standards.

• Ensure internal production milestones and customer delivery dates are consistently met.

• Identify and resolve machining issues to minimise downtime.

• Work closely with the production team to improve efficiency and maintain workflow.

• Maintain a safe, organised, and clean working environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Extensive experience programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machinery.

• Strong CAD/CAM programming experience (essential).

• The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A proactive, forward-thinking approach to your work.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Experience using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) would be advantageous but is not essential.
