CNC TurnerLocation: NottinghamshireShift: Rotating Shifts 6am-2pm and 2pm - 10pm (Early finish on FridaysSalary: Up to 40,000 per annumAbout the CompanyAn engineering company providing one-off technological and engineering solutions for worldwide aerospace customers and other industries.The RoleThe business is recruiting a CNC Turner to support machining and production activities within its engineering facility.Key ResponsibilitiesSetting and operating CNC machineryInterpreting drawings and reviewing quality specifications to ensure parts meet customer and company requirementsDesigning and producing mandrels, jigs and fixtures where requiredFollowing operation sheets to ensure parts progress correctly and on time through the factoryCarrying out quality checks using micrometres, verniers, gauges and other measuring equipmentSupporting and mentoring less experienced machine operators (for fully skilled machinists)Working collaboratively with colleagues to support company and customer targetsEnsuring compliance with Health and Safety policies and legislative requirementsSetting and operating a range of conventional and CNC machines (milling, turning, grinding or mill-turn)Completing any other duties required by the companyEssential SkillsMechanical apprentice trained or qualified by experienceGood written and verbal communication skills, able to interact with internal and external contacts at all levelsSelf-motivated with the ability to multi-task with guidance and ..... full job details .....
