A new permanent opportunity with an established and successful Precision Engineering business in Hertfordshire! Responsibilities Setting and operating CNC lathes Loading and proving out existing programs Tool setting and offset adjustments First-off inspection and in-process checks Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements Measuring components using micrometres, verniers, bore gauges etc. Producing small to medium batch work Maintaining a clean and safe working area Requirements Previous CNC lathe setting and operating experience essential Ability to work independently and manage workload Confident using measuring equipment Able to read and understand technical drawings Experience with Fanuc or Haas controls preferred (but not essential) Good attention to detail Reliable and punctual Strong understanding of tolerances and quality standards Desirable Experience within precision engineering / aerospace / automotive sectors Machines / Software HAAS cnc lathes Hypermill cad/cam software What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Overtime available Stable long-term position Friendly workshop environment Immediate start available ..... full job details .....
