CNC Turner

I have a First class opportunity to join a respected and leading high-end CNC precision and manufacturing company based in Swindon, working straight days. Below is ideally what is required but qualified/experienced candidate will be considered regardless of what machines they have worked on as long as they are not job hoppers.

CNC TURNER (4 day working week)

What machines/are preferred Doosan lathes, live tooling, twin spindle, and one also has a twin turret, Star sliding head.

What is a preferred programming skill or Fanuc/Haas etc Fanuc (currently on the machine)

Is it only a setter Operator you need? Ideally we are looking for someone who can programme, set, and operate.

Is it a day shift/ double day shift? Day shift only

Working hours? 06.30 – 16.30 Mon – Thurs (38 ) hours

What level of batch work i.e. high/low or medium volume? Mainly low volume but high accuracy. Although the Star may see higher volumes.

What are they making? What industries what materials? Injection mould tools through to precision components from a range of industries.

What is the hourly ££ rate on offer? £17.50 - £20 phr Neg - but this will be skill dependant.

Job is to programme and run two Doosan lathes using fanuc and Ez guide. The models of the lathes I'm using are Puma GT2100M, this machine has c axis and live tooling. Also use a Puma TT1800SY, this machine has twin turrets, twin spindle, y axis on the top turret and c axis on both spindles. This machine is also bar feed by a hydra feed bar feed. The main materials you work with are various, carbon steels, stainless steels and tool-steels. also machine a super alloy called Ampco 83, and some brass and phosphorous bronze.
