Location: Ilminster, SomersetSalary: Competitive, depending on experience + 20% shift premiumHours: Monday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:00am, Friday 10:00pm-5:00amContract: Full Time, Permanent Bennett and Game are currently working with a leading specialist engineering and optics manufacturer who are seeking an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Setter Operator to join their Ilminster facility on a permanent night shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Turner with experience in precision engineering, with training available for candidates who have a strong CNC turning background but limited experience with Single Point Diamond Turning (SPDT). CNC Turner - Role and Responsibilities Setting and operating CNC Single Point Diamond Turning machinery Manufacturing ultra-precision components to extremely tight tolerances Interpreting engineering drawings, CAD data and surface finish specifications Selecting and handling specialist diamond tooling Achieving sub-micron tolerances and high-quality surface finishes Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections Using precision metrology equipment to verify component quality Adjusting machine parameters to optimise quality, accuracy and cycle times Carrying out routine machine maintenance and fault diagnosis Maintaining accurate production and inspection records Working closely with Engineering, Metrology and Quality teams CNC Turner - Candidate Requirements Previous experience operating CNC turning machinery Experience with ..... full job details .....
