Are you an experienced CNC Team Lead, CNC Supervisor, or manufacturing team leader looking for a hands-on leadership role within a busy engineering environment?
Our client, a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Poole, is looking to recruit a CNC Team Lead to support day-to-day machining operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, developing teams, and driving performance within a fast-paced production environment.

The successful CNC Team Lead will play a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
The Role As a CNC Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, managing, and motivating a team of machinists
• Supporting day-to-day CNC machining and workshop operations
• Ensuring health & safety, COSHH, and risk assessment procedures are followed
• Delivering daily, weekly, and monthly production and on-time delivery targets
• Running team meetings, toolbox talks, and performance briefings
• Driving Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM initiatives
• Supporting the training and development of team members
• Investigating quality, safety, and production issues using root cause analysis
• Supporting effective communication and smooth handovers across operations

What We''re Looking For The business is keen to speak with candidates who have leadership experience within CNC machining, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
You''ll ideally have:

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within CNC machining or manufacturing
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and workshop operations
• Proven ability to lead teams and improve performance
• Experience working towards production targets and operational efficiency goals
• Knowledge of health & safety procedures within manufacturing
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

The following would also be beneficial:

• Lean Manufacturing experience
• Continuous Improvement involvement
• TPM knowledge
• Experience managing production teams
• Formal leadership or supervisory training
