Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: From -38,000 per annum + overtime (potential earnings up to -60,000)
Bonus: 10% sign-on bonus + company-wide bonus scheme
Shifts: Day and night shifts available with shift premiums

The Opportunity

We are recruiting experienced CNC Sliding Head Turners to join a state-of-the-art precision engineering facility producing high-spec, tight tolerance components used within aerospace, medical and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating Sliding Head CNC lathes
• Machine setup including tooling, fixtures, guide bushes and offsets
• Editing and optimising CNC programs (G-code and/or CAM)
• Producing high precision components to tight tolerances
• First-off inspection and in-process quality checks
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings including GD&T
• Troubleshooting machining issues and improving cycle efficiency
• Maintaining quality standards within ISO regulated environments
• Ensuring components meet dimensional and surface finish specifications
• Working with materials including stainless steel, titanium and aluminium

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Sliding Head Turner
• Experience working with machines such as Citizen, Star, Tornos or similar
• Strong understanding of precision machining principles
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled team
