CNC Sliding Head Operator

NexGen Consultancy LTD are currently recruiting for a CNC Sliding Head Operator to join a well established, growing precision engineering manufacturer, which specialises within the Aerospace, Automotive and Oil & Gas industries.

With over 35 machines on their shop floor, they are looking for a well experienced sliding head operator to join their team to develop into a competent setter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, and maintain CNC sliding head machines (e.g. Star or Citizen)

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

• Ensure components are machined to the highest quality and tight tolerances

• Perform first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment

• Work collaboratively with the production and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating sliding head CNC machines

• Strong knowledge of machining principles-

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

• Self-motivated with good problem-solving skills

• Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced production environment
