CNC SLIDING HEAD ENGINEER - WEST BYFLEET, SURREYJob Title: CNC Sliding Head EngineerLocation: West Byfleet, SurreyReports To: Production ManagerRole OverviewOur client, a leading precision engineering company, is currently seeking a CNC Sliding Head Engineer to join their dynamic team. The candidate should possess prior experience in programming, setting and operating multi-axis Sliding Head machines.While it would be beneficial to have experience using Star machines, it is not a mandatory requirement. Our client is looking for someone who is enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the team''s growth.The role will include: Programming, setting and running Star Sliding Head lathes Adjusting existing CNC programs to ensure accuracy and optimise efficiency Programming of new jobs on and offline Maintaining a level of self-inspection throughout a batch Machining parts to tight tolerances with precision and accuracy Working effectively as part of a team to achieve production goals and maintain a smooth workflow Assisting the production staff in any other tasks that may be required to maintain production efficiency Managing workflow/schedule of jobsIt is also essential that the applicant is happy to work on different machines depending on where they are required.What our client is looking for: Hands-on experience operating CNC Sliding Head machines, preferably Star machines Understanding of machining principles, CNC machining techniques, and tool selection Excellent ..... full job details .....
