Job Title: Machine Operative Reporting To: Section Supervisor Department: Machine Shop / Production Working Hours: Night shift 15.04p/h (Mon - Thurs 4.00pm -2.30am) Job Purpose To manufacture high-quality automotive components by executing precision machining operations in strict accordance with engineering guidelines, supervisor directives, and health and safety legislation. The successful candidate will take full ownership of component quality, actively report non-conformities, and maintain the flexibility required to support diverse operational needs across the shop floor. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Machining Operations: Competently operate CNC lathes and/or VMC milling centres to execute high-precision manufacturing processes. Performance Monitoring: Run machinery strictly in line with programmed speeds and feeds, continuously tracking performance to optimize efficiency. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough in-cycle inspections of manufactured components using engineering measuring tools (micrometers, verniers) and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) reports. Resource Utilisation: Engage in multi-manning operations when machine configurations and product profiles permit, maximizing operational throughput and resource utility. Compliance and Records: Ensure all production logs and compliance paperwork are completed accurately and traceably in full alignment with ISO9001 standards.
