Cnc Setter Operator

We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller / Setter Operator to join an established precision engineering company in Wolverhampton on a temporary basis.

This is a hands-on role working on small batch precision components, so we need someone who can confidently set and operate CNC milling machines and edit or adjust programmes at the machine.

This is not a basic machine operating role – you must have previous CNC milling setting experience and be comfortable making programme adjustments.

The Role

As a CNC Miller / Setter Operator, your duties will include:

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Editing and adjusting CNC programmes
• Machining small batch precision components
• Working from engineering drawings
• Setting tooling and workholding
• Checking components and working to required tolerances
• Making offsets and adjustments where required
• Using measuring equipment to check finished components
• Maintaining a high standard of quality throughout production

What We're Looking For

You should have previous experience as a:

• CNC Miller
• CNC Setter / Operator
• CNC Machinist
• Milling Machine Setter / Operator

You will need:

• Previous CNC milling experience
• Strong machine setting skills
• Ability to edit and adjust CNC programmes
• Experience working from engineering drawings
• Experience with small batch machining
• Good understanding of tooling and machining processes
• Ability to work accurately to engineering tolerances
• Confidence using measuring equipment
• Ability to work independently

About the Company

You'll be working with an established British precision engineering manufacturer based in Wolverhampton.

The company produces specialist, high-quality engineered components in-house, including work for the automotive and other engineering sectors.

Much of the work involves specialist and small batch components, offering more variety than a repetitive high-volume production environment.

Hours

39 hours per week

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am–4:15pm
Friday: 7:00am–1:00pm
