Job Title: CNC Sliding Head Setter/OperatorLocation: Basildon, EssexSalary£17.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)Job TypeFull-time / PermanentShift pattern: Day ShiftRole OverviewWe are seeking a skilled CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team in Basildon. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and maintaining CNC sliding head machines to produce high-precision components in line with engineering drawings and strict quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSet and operate CNC sliding head machines (e.g. Citizen, Star, Tornos)Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsSelect tooling, set offsets, and make adjustments to ensure optimal performanceCarry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)Edit and prove out programs at the machine (Fanuc / Mitsubishi controls preferred)Monitor machine performance and ensure production targets are metTroubleshoot and resolve machining or quality issues efficientlyPerform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, safe working environmentComplete production and quality documentation accuratelyFollow all health and safety procedures and company policiesSkills and Experience RequiredProven experience as a CNC Sliding Head Setter/OperatorStrong working knowledge of Fanuc or Mitsubishi control systemsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience working to tight ..... full job details .....
