This job combines mechanical setup with machine monitoring. You turn digital design files into physical parts using a CNC router. You make sure the machine runs safely, accurately, and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Setting Up: - Install the correct router bits and cutting tools. - Secure sheet materials (like MDF, plywood, or acrylic) onto the machine bed using clamps or vacuum tables. - Set machine zero points (datums) and tool length offsets. Operating: - Load and select the correct cutting programs. - Run test pieces ("prove out" programs) to check for errors before mass production. - Monitor the machine during cutting, manage chip extraction, and load new raw materials.
