CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator (Fast Make - Milling or Turning)Precision Engineering RomfordThis is a role for a machinist who enjoys the full lifecycle of manufacturing - not just running parts, but owning the process from concept through to production.Working within a fast-paced "fast make" environment, you''ll be responsible for developing and proving out new components, programming multi-axis machines, and ensuring parts are delivered right first time.The RoleYou''ll act as a key link between engineering and production, taking ownership of how new components are manufactured and brought into production efficiently and accurately.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop robust manufacturing methods for new and complex componentsGenerate CNC programmes for 3, 4, and 5-axis machines using CAD/CAM softwareDefine tooling requirements and create setup sheets and machining strategiesProve out programmes on the shop floor and support transition into productionTake ownership of all supporting process elements including:Tooling and work holdingGauging and inspection methodsCNC programme control and configurationEnsure projects are delivered within cost targets and timescalesTroubleshoot machining and process issues, implementing effective solutionsWork closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to optimise performanceWhat We''re Looking ForStrong background in precision machining (milling or turning) within a manufacturing environmentProven experience in offline CNC ..... full job details .....
