CNC Programmer Setter Operator (Fanuc)

Source Solutions are working with a trusted and reputable employer in Portsmouth, who work very much on the cutting edge, to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer and Setter, on a permanent basis at their main site in Portsmouth, working a day shift Monday to Friday and utilising their experience to boost the department whilst helping to develop more junior staff.

CNC Programmer Setter Operator, will be working on specialist sliding head CNC machines and some form of experience with these is preferable, however, very strong Fanuc experience is most important.

The role also requires someone who is keen to learn to be an all-rounder and department expert as CNC Programmer Setter Operator, rather than focusing on only one or two of these responsibilities 

Additionally, the CNC Programmer Setter Operator, will have responsibilities such as the below:

• Carrying out part inspection using standard measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.)
• Ensuring components/products are produced to tight tolerances and quality standards
•  Performing regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting
•  Assisting in the training of less experienced staff

CNC Programmer Setter Operator profile:

•  Extensive experience programming and editing in Fanuc 
•  Further experience in either setting or operating CNC
•  Skilled in using precision measuring instruments
• If possible, some experience with (or understanding of) sliding head CNC
