You will program, set and operate CNC milling machinery to mill, shape and bevel optical components, working to micron level tolerances and maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness and workmanship. The role will involve machining delicate optical materials, verifying component dimensions using CMM and other inspection equipment, and carrying out cleaning and surface inspection to applicable standards. You will be expected to take ownership of your work from process preparation and machine setup through to final inspection, ensuring components meet drawing, process and customer requirements.
