This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist with experience in CNC programming, to join a progressive engineering environment. The successful CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC sliding head machines to manufacture high-quality, close-tolerance components safely and efficiently. Experience working with Citizen or Tornos sliding head lathes would be highly advantageous, although this is not essential as full training can be provided to the right candidate. Key Responsibilities for the CNC Programmer opportunity in BournemouthProgram sliding head CNC lathes using G-code and/or offline CAM softwareSet and prove out CNC sliding head machines, including Citizen and TornosModify and optimise existing CNC programs to improve cycle times, tooling efficiency and machining performanceSelect, prepare and set cutting tools, guide bushes and workholdingOperate CNC machinery to manufacture components in line with engineering drawings and specificationsMonitor machine performance and make adjustments to offsets where requiredIdentify and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency and component qualityInspect finished components using micrometers, verniers, gauges and other precision measuring equipmentEnsure all ..... full job details .....
