CNC Programmer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Horizontal Borer Setter / Operator / Programmer to join a well-established engineering company based in Ashton-under-Lyne. This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience working on CNC Horizontal Boring/Milling machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC horizontal borers using Heidenhain control systems, producing high-quality medium to heavy-sized components from customer drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities: Setting, operating and programming CNC Horizontal Boring/Milling machines Working from detailed engineering drawings and customer specifications Producing medium to heavy workpieces to a high standard Carrying out self-inspection and ensuring components meet quality requirements Working safely and efficiently within a busy engineering environment Supporting overtime requirements when required Candidate Requirements: Previous experience operating CNC Horizontal Boring/Milling machines Strong experience with Heidenhain controls Ability to set and programme machines independently Confident reading and working from engineering drawings Experience machining medium to heavy components Ability to inspect own work using measuring equipment Willingness to work overtime when required Shift Options Available: Day Shift Monday Thursday: 08 30 Friday: 08 00 37 paid hours per week Overtime available (minimum expectation of 11 hours per ..... full job details .....
