We are recruiting for a well-established and expanding manufacturing company based in Birmingham. Due to ongoing growth, we are looking to recruit a skilled CNC Programmer to join a team at their city centre production facility.

The Role

As part of their strategy to increase productivity across the business, they are seeking a flexible and experienced machinist. The successful candidate will support the CNC team in their daily tasks and assist Manufacturing Engineers with lean and 5S projects.

Responsibilities include:

" Hands-on machining on Fanuc or Mazak VMCs
" Providing absence cover where required
" Carrying out TPM/PPM activities
" Programming online at the control
" Proving out new programs
" Contributing to lean and 5S projects

This role is ideal for someone with several years' experience programming Fanuc VMCs in a wide range of materials. Any turning or Mazatrol knowledge will be an advantage

Key Skills (Essential)

" Must be a UK national
" Completed apprenticeship to minimum Level 3
" Extensive experience in setting and running CNC machines
" Ability to read drawings, including GD&T symbols
" Flexible and proactive "can-do" attitude

Desired Skills

" Mazatrol experience
" Turning knowledge
" Exposure to CAD/CAM
" Competency with MS Excel and Word
" CMM operating skills

" Monday to Thursday: 07:30-16:00
" Friday: 07:30-12:30
" (some flexibility required)
" 25 days holiday (a mix of compulsory Christmas shutdown and floating days)
