CNC Programmer – Mechanical Workshop Refurbishment

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Programmer to join a leading engineering workshop specializing in mechanical service and refurbishment. You will play a key role in the maintenance, repair, and programming of advanced machinery while ensuring precision and quality for a wide range of industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC equipment including vertical grinders and countersink machines.
• Conduct mechanical refurbishment of rolls, dies, and other components.
• Dismantle, inspect, and reassemble mechanical parts, including replacement of bearings and other components.
• Interpret and work from technical and composite drawings.
• Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency within the workshop.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and exceptional service to clients.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven mechanical skills, with experience in machining or mechanical service environments.
• Strong CNC programming skills and practical knowledge of machine shop operations.
• Hands-on experience with measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, calipers).
• Understanding of gearboxes, bearings, sealings, and lubricants.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office and basic workshop software tools.
• Blacksmith or machining experience is highly advantageous.
