The successful individual will be responsible for setting & operating CNC machinery to manufacture components accurately & efficiently. 38hours per week. Key Responsibilities Set and adjust tooling, work holding, offsets, speeds, feeds and cutting parameters. Load and verify existing CNC programs, making controlled edits within your competence and seeking programming support where required. Monitor machine cycles and maintain efficient production rates. Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and production instructions. Use precision measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges and thread gauges. Report machine faults, tooling problems and production delays promptly. Desirable qualities Contribute to creating, modifying and optimising CNC programs using G-code, Mazatrol or offline CAD/CAM. Experience with Swiss-type or multi-channel programming is welcomed, including synchronisation, hand-offs, main-to-sub spindle transfers and back-working.
