CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator - Joinery

Location: Basildon
Salary: Up to -46,000 per year (-21ph DOE)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (42.4 hours per week)

Our client, a leading commercial fit-out and joinery manufacturer, is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality joinery components from production drawings and cutting lists.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Homag CNC machines using Alphacam and WoodWop (Currently operating offline programming, moving to online)
• Manufacture joinery components to tight tolerances
• Work from production drawings and cutting lists
• Ensure finished parts meet quality standards
• Report any design, production or machine issues
• Prepare completed components for assembly or dispatch

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience as a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator in a joinery or woodworking environment
  
• Ability to read technical drawings and cutting sheets
• Experience with woodworking machinery such as dimension saws, drum sanders, planers, thicknessers, cross-cut saws and band saws
  
• Knowledge of timber materials including hardwood, softwood, laminates and veneered panels
• Machine woodworking qualification or equivalent industry experience
