CNC Production Programmer

An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Production Programmer to join their team at a key production site.

This is a hands-on role focused on creating and modifying CNC machine programmes in line with technical drawings and production requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient workflow, accurate programming, and on-time delivery for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating CNC programmes using designated software
• Interpreting engineering drawings and manually programming where required
• Using basic 2D CAD to check geometry and dimensions
• Managing CNC machine schedules and monitoring job progress
• Liaising with internal departments to ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are met
• Quoting lead times for sections/fittings
• Maintaining accurate production records and documentation
• Supporting traceability through batch number monitoring

Requirements:

• Proven experience programming CNC machines
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Basic 2D CAD knowledge
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work closely with production and commercial teams
