Salary: Up to -38,500 per annum
Shift: Rotating: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm (Friday: 6am-1pm and 1pm-8pm)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Polishing Technician to join the Fabrication Team, manufacturing high-precision infrared and visible optical components.

The successful candidate will set up and operate CNC polishing equipment and carry out precision finishing operations, including deburring, linishing and grinding, ensuring components meet strict dimensional tolerances and surface quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC polishing machinery.
• Carry out deburring, linishing and grinding operations to achieve the required finish and component specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve the required surface finish and accuracy.
• Carry out quality checks and identify surface defects.
• Handle, clean and inspect delicate optical components.
• Maintain accurate production records and product traceability.
• Follow quality, Health & Safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Support equipment maintenance and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

• Experience operating CNC polishing or precision polishing equipment.
• Experience in deburring, linishing and grinding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Experience using precision measurement and inspection equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality, safety and meeting production deadlines.
