      <description>Location: Thetford | Salary: &amp;pound;16 - &amp;pound;18/hour Career Progression | Type: Permanent | We are recruiting an experienced CNC Setter/Operator (Turning) to join a global engineering company based in Thetford. This role is to support our weekend day shift, Thursday to Sunday (11.5-hour shifts), producing high-quality components to specification and working independently to keep production running smoothly.   The Role   As a CNC Setter/Operator, you will:   Set and operate CNC turning centres, including tooling selection, offsets, work holding, and safe prove-out of jobs  Work with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi (DMG MORI)  Run multi-axis turning parts to drawing and specification  Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and basic GD&amp;T  Use inspection equipment to complete first-off and in-process checks (e.g., verniers, micrometres, bore gauges) and record results accurately  Respond to alarms, troubleshoot machining/quality issues, and escalate as needed to maintain production  Maintain a safe and tidy workstation, adhering to health &amp; safety standards (5S)    Requirements    Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator (Turning) in a production environment (ideally 5+ years)  Competent in using CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi/...</description>
