CNC Operator Setter
We are delighted to be working with a specialist manufacturer that operates globally producing bespoke products. Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will set and operate the CNC machines in a safe and competent manner and to work as part of a team ensuring that production schedules for the Machine Shop are met. After your initial training on days, you will move onto a weekly rotating double day shift below: Earlies: 6AM 2:30pm (6am - 1:30pm on Fridays) Late shift: 1:30pm 10pm (12:30pm 8pm on Fridays) Ideally you will have at least 3 years machining experience working in a similar industry with an understanding of producing and measuring precision components to tight tolerances, including the principles of G code CNC programs (Fanuc). The role primarily involves: To set and operate the CNC lathes or mills which you are assigned to, with the minimum of supervision To run production jobs on the CNC machines and to carry out all inspection duties required to ensure that parts are manufactured correctly to drawing and meet tight deadlines To ensure the ERP system and all paperwork is completed correctly and on time Complete all associated documentation and ensure compliance with ISO9001 procedures To make sure that any machine issues are reported to the relevant Manager To follow the company s philosophy of lean manufacturing and look at ways to make improvements and then bring these to the attention of your team Manager To be responsible for keeping the areas you are ..... full job details .....
