Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Operator to join a busy manufacturing business based in Dudley.
This is a hands-on CNC machining role working with drilling, tapping and milling operations. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience operating CNC machinery and be confident working within a busy manufacturing environment.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator, CNC Miller or Machine Operator looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent.
The Role
As a CNC Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating CNC machinery for drilling, tapping and milling
- Loading and unloading components
- Setting and operating machines to produce components to specification
- Carrying out basic machine adjustments where required
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Using measuring equipment to check finished components
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process
- Ensuring components meet required tolerances and specifications
- Changing tooling and carrying out basic tool changes
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following production, quality and health & safety procedures
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a CNC Operator, CNC Miller or Machine Operator
- Experience with drilling, tapping and milling
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment
- Good attention to detail and quality awareness
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts
