CNC Operator – Immediate Start – Hereford

We are recruiting CNC Operators on behalf of a global engineering leader specialising in high-performance alloys for aerospace, power generation, space exploration, and defence. Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Operating CNC machinery including lathes, grinders, saws, drills, and handheld tools
- Setting and adjusting CNC machines for production runs to meet precise specifications
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, and job instructions
- Using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier callipers, gauges, tape measures, and rulers to verify tolerances
- Monitoring machine performance and making necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy
- Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on CNC equipment
- Working to strict quality and safety standards while completing all required production documentation
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with supervisors and colleagues to meet daily and weekly production targets

What We’re Looking For

- Previous CNC operating or machining experience (essential)
- Ability to set, operate, and adjust CNC lathes or milling machines
- Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
- Willingness to work a 3-shift rotation (6–2 / 2–10 / 10–6)
- Dependable, adaptable, and committed to working as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes accurately
