CNC Operator - Night Shift

Wolviston Management Services are delighted to be supporting our client in their search for a skilled CNC Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business in North Yorkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving machine shop where you will be responsible for operating a range of high-speed CNC machinery to deliver high-quality components, whilst maintaining maximum spindle time and output efficiency.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set high-speed CNC machinery for milling, drilling, tapping, and grinding
• Supervise and support general machine shop operations
• Review and prepare tooling, fixtures and CNC programs prior to production runs
• Accurately record production data including quantities and scrap
• Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure precise outcomes
• Carry out basic program and tool table edits
• Perform quality checks and maintain component standards throughout production
• Manage and replace tooling, cutters, and check lubricant levels
• Support continuous improvement in safety and manufacturing practices

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in CNC machine operation, ideally across 3-axis and 4-axis machining
• Familiarity with Renishaw probing systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with a strong mechanical aptitude
• High attention to detail with good communication and organisational skills
• Motivated, reliable and committed to maintaining a high standard of work
